Walter Julian
Walter Julian completed a beginners course
in stained glass principles in Ontario prior to his move to Saskatoon
in 1996. It was late 1998 that he planned his first stained glass
project, a transom for his new home. Since then, he has sold several
commission pieces.
In the fall of 1999 he became a member of the Saskatoon Glass Workers
Guild and was presented with the novice of the year award for the
two Flamenco panels.
His work has been displayed every year at the annual Glassart show
in the Galleria at Innovation Place as well as at the guild show
at the Saskatchewan Crafts Council Gallery. Currently he has been
working with a new technique called laminating and has applied this
to Art Deco and Oriental themes.
