Penny Leach

Penny Leach was born in Saskatchewan but lived in various places such as Toronto, Montreal, Africa and Peru. She has worked extensively with First Nation communities. These experiences and frequent trips to Mexico and southern California have strongly influence her art so that the designs are more typical of European art. Classic artists such as Gauguin, Cezanne, Bonnard and French modernists are inspirations. Ms. Leach studied art at the Saskatchewan universities and she was also a student at the Emma Lake Art School over a period of ten years. She resides in Saskatoon with her two children.
