Margaret Bremner

Margaret Bremner is a native of Saskatoon and has been making art all her life. For more than a decade she has focused on mandala imagery. The round form and the geometric rhythm of the mandala is symbolic of wholeness, eternity, balance, transformation and unity. Margaret's work can often be characterized by vibrant colors and intricate detail. She is also interested in patterns and imagery from other cultures, and visual symbolism. Last spring Margaret and her husband
sold their house, stashed their stuff, and headed to northern China. They have spent the past school year in the province of Inner Mongolia, teaching English to college students. Margaret has also been noting the mandala designs on Mongolian rooftops and elsewhere.
