M.J.G. Magnussen
I was raised in Humboldt, Saskatchewan and I completed two years of University at the U of S. I am now studying fine art at Concordia University in Montreal. My art work and my voice as creator are still developing but I have taken many leaps. My work has been displayed at several Saskatoon businesses, The Red Shift Gallery, The Snelgrove Gallery, The La Scala Gallery, and The Mendal in Saskatoon. My paintings are also in private collections across Canada. I have also been published in magazines and have won awards, including a second place finish at the Saskatchewan Showcase of Art. My paintings are my reactions to people and objects I feel have a special importance to a large and diversified audience. In my paintings I use colour and impulsive brushwork to let the viewer get a glimpse of my internal world.
